Hi, I’m Rob. I’m a photographer out of Northern Kentucky. I photograph a little bit of everything, but over the past nine years my niche has naturally become historic places and abandoned relics. I’m drawn to the stories behind old structures and forgotten spaces, and I try to document them before they disappear. I also love shooting landscapes and the natural beauty that surrounds these places.
I live in Hebron, Kentucky with my wife Amanda and our sons Mason and Collin. Our daughter Emma is away at college, but thankfully not too far from home.
Believe it or not, dogs are what started my photography journey. Years ago I began taking photos of dogs just for fun, and those images ended up taking on a life of their own. My dog photography has appeared in magazines and travel guides, on The Drew Barrymore Show, and on Extra with Mario Lopez. I even filmed dog footage in Rabbit Hash, Kentucky for a Disney Plus production.
One of my favorite memories was spending a day in Rabbit Hash with Bill Farmer, the voice of Goofy, photographing the town’s famous dogs before the 2020 Rabbit Hash mayoral election.
Along with historic places, I also enjoy photographing cars, nature, and everyday scenes that tell a story. I’m also a brand ambassador for Ale 8 where I do a lot of product photography and creative content featuring the iconic Kentucky soft drink.
I also work with local historical societies and the Roebling Bridge Committee, using photography to help document and preserve the history of the communities I care about.
By day I work in healthcare, but photography has been a passion of mine for nearly a decade. Whenever I’m not working, you’ll usually find me exploring back roads, small towns, and forgotten places with a camera in my hand.
If you’d like to see more of my work, I have a large collection of photos on my Facebook page, so please click through and give it a visit.
Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to explore, follow along, and see the world through my lens.
